Placing Volunteers Where They're Needed Most!

The Volunteer Center for Cowlitz-Wahkiakum (VCCW) connects hundreds of volunteers each year to dozens of organizations, agencies, schools, churches, special events & activities, and many other helpful situations.

VCCW volunteers provide over 75,000 hours of service annually. Over 1,200 local residents are currently enrolled in the VCCW as volunteers ready to offer their services. And we need more!

Become A Volunteer

The Volunteer Center for Cowlitz-Wahkiakum is your direct connection to a wide variety of opportunities to volunteer your time, energy, skills and experience. Anyone 14 or older is welcome to apply for enrollment in the VCCW. Once enrolled, volunteers are notified of opportunities by:

The VCCW partners with dozens of local organizations, businesses, schools, law enforcement agencies, churches, plus numerous special events and activities. The variety and list of volunteer opportunities are nearly endless.

RSVP Volunteers (55 or Older)

Our volunteers 55 or older enjoy the added benefits of RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program - a division of the federal Senior Corp program). These extra benefits include:

  • Volunteer Insurance Service
  • Coverage includes Excess Accidental Medical Coverage, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Excess Volunteer Liability Insurance, Excess Automobile Insurance
  • Eligible for annual President's Volunteer Service Pin
  • Recognition during annual RSVP Appreciation event

When You Need Volunteers

When your organization, event or activity needs volunteers - contact the VCCW. We have over 1,200 local volunteers enrolled, all of whom are ready and eager to contribute their skills and experience.

Our thorough volunteer enrollment process includes:

  • Written application
  • Personal Interview
  • Criminal Background Check (WA State Patrol WATCH Report)

We can also coordinate a WA Driver's License abstract report if you require volunteers to drive.
